Description
Create your own Bigo Otter with this detailed knitting pattern. With its little whiskers and cozy scarf, Bigo makes a lovely handmade gift or a charming addition to your knitted animal collection.
The pattern includes step-by-step written instructions, detailed process photos, video tutorials, and a printer-friendly version without photos.
🧶 Construction
The otter is knitted in the round from the bottom up. The legs, body, and head are worked as one continuous piece. The arms are knitted separately and joined to the body as you knit. The ears are knitted separately and sewn on.
Stitches for the muzzle are picked up from the head, then worked in the round and grafted using Kitchener stitch. Stitches for the tail are picked up from the body. The tail begins in rows and continues in the round.
Safety eyes are used for the sample, with bead or embroidered eyes offered as alternatives. The nose and whiskers are embroidered with black yarn.
The scarf can be made using a knitting mill or knitted by hand as an i-cord. Instructions for the hand-knitted scarf are included.
